Really bubbly and talkative and we were on the same wavelength.

We spoke about loads of different things including family, jobs, sport, each other’s backgrounds, travelling, music and the fact that I’m a southerner!

Any awkward moments?
None whatsoever.

Curry.

Good table manners?
Yes!

Nice restaurant with good food and good service.

Great personality and she made me laugh.

Confident, fun, music lover.

I think she liked me and that I made her laugh, and I was courteous and thoughtful.

Did you go on somewhere after the date?
No, I gave her a lift home.

If it weren’t for social distancing, would you have kissed?
That would be telling but it would have been nice to have hugged!

If you could change one thing about the evening, what would it be?
That we didn’t have to be out of the restaurant by 10pm.

Marks out of 10?
8.

CLAIRE ON JON

What were you hoping for from your date?
A pleasant evening and a laugh with no awkwardness. Anything else would be a bonus.

First impressions of Jon?
Very attractive, confident and funny.

What did you talk about?
All sorts. The usual ‘getting to know each other’ questions, experiences/feelings of lockdown, love of TOWIE (Jon)…..

Any awkward moments?
None at all. Well, perhaps how to say hello under social distancing, diffused with an elbow bump.

What did you have to eat?
Chilli Paneer and a Chicken Tikka Rogan Josh.

Good table manners?
Absolutely.

What were your thoughts on the restaurant?
The staff were lovely and very accommodating. Nice place, food was good (although I could have taken the curry with a bit more of a kick).

Best thing about Jon?
He’s very funny and down to earth.

Would you introduce him to your friends?
I guess so, although I think we have fairly different interests.

Describe Jon in three words?
A good egg.

What do you think Jon made of you?
No idea, but I got a generally positive vibe.

Did you go on somewhere after the date?
No, we had another drink in the restaurant after the meal though.

If it weren’t for social distancing, would you have kissed?
No, we certainly had a laugh but I don’t think we connected on that level.

If you could change one thing about the evening, what would it be?
I probably wouldn’t change anything. It was a lot more fun than I was expecting from a blind date. I had a better time than on some dates where I’ve already known someone a little bit.

Marks out of 10?
8.

Would you meet again?
I would but not to pursue a romantic connection.
